Submitting application for Internet Customers

When keying Internet accounts make sure that you are putting in the Web URL in MAE +, located on the first location tab…see screen shot below,

also if you would kindly follow the rules outlined below for boarding internet accounts to avoid unnecessary delays and account closures.


Website Reviews for an Internet Merchant should document at least the following validations:


 Business Name – compare the Website name to the merchant listed on the MPA


 Business Location – verify the merchant’s location is in the U.S.


 Delivery Timeframe – if detailed on the Website, confirm that the delivery matches the application to ensure proper risk calculation


 Refund/Cancellation Policy – review the refund/cancellation policy


 Privacy Statement – review privacy policy


 Security – does the website have a secure method of accepting payments (SSL or SQL) and is disclosed to consumers


 When disclosed, examine links to other sites to evaluate products/services are consistent with the MPA


Note: Copies of the Website must be submitted along with all application material confirming the Website was reviewed prior to submitting the account to First Data for consideration. Additionally, copies of the Website must be maintained in paper or electronic format confirming the Website was reviewed at the time the account was submitted for approval.
