Regarding: Product Enhancement – First Data Global Gateway (FDGG)

Effective March 12, 2015, the First Data Global Gateway solution will be enhanced to provide additional security to your merchants using the Virtual Terminal and Connect 2.0 solutions. These changes will enhance the security of the gateway and provide additional guard against automated attacks.

These new features are required for all existing Virtual Terminal users and any Connect 2.0 merchant attempting to download a Shared Secret. After the enhancement is implemented, new validation prompts will automatically display the next time your merchant attempts to login to the Virtual Terminal to process transactions or download the Shared Secret

· New FDGG Virtual Terminal Prompt Sequence

o FDGG Store Number, User ID, Password and CAPTCHA text

· New Connect 2.0 Shared Secret Prompt:

o Connect 2.0 Setup will prompt the client to validate information located on their account such as Tax ID, Contact Name or Contact Number. If the merchant is unable to validate their Tax ID, Contact Name and Contact Phone Number, the Shared Secret download functionality will be disabled.

o To re-enable Shared Secret, the merchant must contact the Global Help Desk at 888-477-3611. Merchant will be required to start over with the validation process and therefore should ensure valid values are entered on the 2nd attempt.
